Who we are
Here's the deal, Reform Church cares about one thing more than anything else, Jesus Christ. Reform is not just our name. It is our calling! When we embody our mission, we provide good news that can change the world. We believe in being “A Gospel That Walks!”
If You Have Ever Felt Like Church Wasn't Built for You — This One Was.
Reform was built for people who are healing, rebuilding, questioning, and becoming. For Black millennials who want theological depth without being asked to leave their Blackness or their complexity at the door. For people who are done with church but not done with God. For the emotionally intelligent, the spiritually exhausted, the creatively alive, and the honestly skeptical. For therapists and helpers who need a place to be tended to instead of doing the tending. For people reconstructing faith after harm. For curious seekers with no church background at all. Whoever you are, wherever you have been — there is a seat at this table for you.
How we got started
Reform Church was started in 2019 by a handful of people gathering to study scripture at the local library. This group of about 7 people imagined a church that was truly welcoming to everyone - where everyone had a seat at the table regardless of personal history, family background, ethnicity, or gender. Reform officially launched on September 1, 2019, and by the grace of God, we have grown and adapted to make it to almost 6 years.
Where we're headed
What's the bottom line? More than ever, Reform Church is committed to fostering a family built around reformation. Reform for ourselves. Reform for our family. Reform for our community. When Jesus saves us, we should be reformed- completely and holistically. And as we move forward as a church family, a sense of family, and belonging, remain at the center of who we are as followers of Christ. All we are waiting on is you! 🫶

What does this mean for you? Most importantly, you're always welcome at Reform Church. We're saving a seat for you. Wherever you're at in your faith, you'll always be welcome as part of the Reform family as we all walk together as a community belonging Christ.
