Our Vision
Reform Nashville creates more equitable communities by delivering mental, physical, emotional, relational, and financial resources directly to those in need, breaking down barriers to access and fostering lasting change.
Our Mission
Reform Nashville's mission is to transform our community by providing resources and programs for those in need, ensuring access to holistic care through both traditional and mobile outreach initiatives.
Reform Requires a Holistic, Accessible Approach to Care
We are 100% committed to reforming our community and believe in utilizing a holistic approach that meets people where they are. Our innovative programs bring care to our neighbors, moving toward betterment and equality.
With our emphasis on holistic, accessible care, we have prioritized:
- Mental health workshops
- Group physical activity opportunities
- Clothing drives and mobile distribution
- Food bank services and mobile pantry
- Youth empowerment through creative programs
- Mobile community support via Reform on Wheels
We partner with organizations like Youth Villages and the Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center to extend our reach and impact.
Our school partnership model has expanded to create deeper solidarity beyond initial events. At Bellshire Elementary School, we've improved attendance rates from at-risk to on-track, with several students achieving perfect attendance. Our clothing closet at McKissack Middle School has helped avoid over 100 suspensions or early dismissals by addressing dress code issues.
New Initiatives:
Reform on Wheels: Our mobile unit directly brings essential resources and support to underserved neighborhoods.
"Shoot with a camera, not a gun" Youth Photography Program: Empowering at-risk youth through creative expression and skill development.
We're excited to expand our reach to more schools and welcome new partners in our mission to create a more equitable Nashville.
